Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Michelle in Norway!!!!

It is five days to Christmas and I want to take the opportunity to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas:-)

Actually here in Norway it's only four days until Christmas...the reason being that Christmas begins Christmas Eve @ 5pm!!

It is wonderful to be here in Norway again. I have been very remiss at updating my blog so here's a rough guide to my itinerary (apologies for any bad spelling!!!)

I arrived in Norway on Saturday and got a lovely surprise at the airport.... Hege and Unni's Dad Ottar was at the airport to pick me up with Borge.  

Saturday 15th: Hege and Unni's 40th Birthday party...a wonderful party with about 50 people.

Sunday 16th: the girls actual birthday. I went for a walk around Hovdebygda and then the celebrations continued again with the 'left overs' from the party in a much more relaxed way with everyone who 'popped by'.

I stayed with Hege and Sindre until Wednesday and then went to Hege's brother Geir and his wife's Kristi. They have lovely cabins they rent out and I have my very own one until Sat:-) ...when I go back to Hege's until I leave on the 27th December.

Saturday: cutting down a Christmas tree...

Sunday: decorating the tree (very traditional to dress the tree the day before Julaften (Christmas Eve) )   ....staying with Hege and Sindre and their son Borge (10 years)
