Weekend of 12th-13th May:
It was lovely weekend and Saturday afternoon I went to the National Gallery with my Welsh
friend Menna. Afterwards we had high-tea together then I took the train out and explored unfamiliar territory...South London!!! There Claudine had invited me to to a dinner party date night and even organised a date for me... My date was Alan who I had gotten to know a little at the Singles Retreat the previous weekend. It was a lovely evening and Claudine is such a GREAT cook!!! Karen invited me to stay at her place so I didn't have to take the train back late at night which I really appreciated. Allan dropped me off at Karen's and gave me a verbal tour of where we were en route which gave me more insight into where I was in South London. And yes he still (but barely) had his ear attached... I didn't entirely talk it off...only just!!!
Sunday morning Karen made me a lovely traditional English cooked breakfast...then discovered I like wrapping things and set me up with birthday presents to wrap!!! (Actually Maryisa did the same when I was staying with them...see how easily entertained I am!!!
After church a group of us went for lunch at a local pub lunch and I got to know Milly and Lorna more which was lovely. On my way home through London I walked to Hyde Park and had a ride on the Boris bikes around the park in the glorious sunshine...which we'dhad three consecutive days of it!!!

I slept well that night!!!
